Dogtown Media: How to Build & Manage a Successful Team @ Makai
Feb 27 @ 7:00 pm – 7:00 pm

About This Event A few of our General Assembly web development, UX Design, and analyst alumni have been hired at Dogtown Media. Join us and Dogtown Media for a panel discussion on career transformations. Hear what inspired our panelists to change careers and how they successfully made the transition. Founder & CEO of Dogtown Media will also be talking alongside these career changers to give his tips and experiences in leading this team to success. Why It Matters? What happens when you’ve realized it’s time for a change? For many of us, it can be as simple as a new look, a new restaurant, or a trip out of town. But what about when it’s your career and livelihood that needs to be revamped? We have been conditioned since a very young age to pick a path and stick with it. Many of us are raised to think we should know what we want to do with the rest of our lives before entering college. At GA we are working hard to empower people with the skills they need to feel free to change their minds and pivot into new careers at any age. Managing a team and listening to feedback can make you a better leader. Dogtown Media’s Founder & CEO, Marc Fischer, will give his perspective on how he manages his team and how it helps them in their success. What You Will Take AwayHear how our speakers made bold changes in their professional lives. Whether you’re eyeing positions in tech, looking to increase your digital know-how, or just gain the confidence to make the transition, we will help you find your starting point. Managing tips and ways to successfully keep your team happy and productive.
