These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Prior to joining UCCE, he was working as a Scientist with Department of Plant Sciences and Department of Land, Air and Water Resources (LAWR) at UC Davis since 2011. He was formerly associate professor at the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, University of Tehran, Iran. He has more than 18 years of research, extension, teaching, and technical consulting experience and has served in several leadership positions in agricultural water management and irrigation engineering in California and abroad. His research and outreach activities focus on viability assessment of irrigation practices, sensor-based irrigation scheduling, best irrigation and nutrient management, effective soil salinity management practices, deficit irrigation strategy, and crop water use measurements and development of crop coefficients in California cropping systems. Currently, he serves as UCCE irrigation and water management advisor in both Imperial and Riverside counties. Mark Battany, Speaker infoMark Battany is serving as the Water Management and Biometeorology Advisor for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. He previously served as the Viticulture Advisor for the same region from 2001 until 2018. His focus areas include water management, soil management, soil salinity, frost protection, climate and weather evaluation, weather stations and sensors, and water resources.

100% of the money donated to ALL FROM THE HEART is used towards programs such as SUPPORT OUR TROOPS (A Celebration over the holidays, including a BBQ, gifts and Santa on a Harley), WHEEL’S FOR WARRIORS and DEVINE EQUINE (Horse therapy for those suffering from PTSD) $1.00 for each pizza sold will be donated to help this wonderful organization. Come out on Friday’s and show your support!
