Enjoy the entire 2019-2020 Season with the Sammamish Symphony at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue! This year we join the world in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of the amazing Ludwig van Beethoven. In October, enjoy our season opening concert featuring music from Camelot, Grieg’s “Peer Gynt” and Beethoven’s “Egmont Overture” and rarely performed “Incidental Music” featuring narrator Terry Edward Moore and soprano Laura Loge. For December our traditional holiday “pops” concert returns with music of the season featuring The Liberty Singers. In February we welcome guest violinist Maria Sampen in bringing you Beethoven’s “Romances for Vioin and Orchestra” as well as Beethoven’s cheerful “Gratulations-Menuet”. We close our February concert with Howard Hanson’s “Mosaics” and Tchaikovsky’s colorful 2nd Symphony which has Ukrainian folk songs within its structure. April features our amazing Young Artist Competition Winner Sandy Huang on the piano in Beethoven’s “Emperor Concerto”. We round out the concert with Holst’s haunting “A Somerset Rhapsody” and selections from Bizet’s “Carmen Suites”. Our season comes to a close this year with our final tribute to Beethoven – his “Overture to King Stephen”. You’ll also enjoy guest artist Jessica Choe performing Camille Saint-Saëns “Piano Concerto No 4” and Ferde Grofé’s classic “Grand Canyon Suite”. We hope you can join us for this fabulous season!
