Nine: Tony-Winning Musical Based on Fellini’s 8 1/2 A critically acclaimed musical, Nine is a clever adaptation of Italian director Federico Fellini’s comic masterpiece 8 1/2. It delves into the mid-life crisis and nervous breakdown of a world-famous Italian film director as he contends with the many women in his life — his wife, his mistress, his muse and more — while preparing to shoot his latest picture, the aptly titled Casanova. Nine debuted on Broadway in 1982. It went on to win five Tonys, including Best Musical, while the 2009 film adaptation, starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson and others, was nominated for four Academy Awards. Based on Italian director Federico Fellin’s comic masterpiece of biographical film-making, 8 1/2, Maury Yeston’s sultry and enchanting musical follows the life of world famous film director Guido Contini as he prepares his latest picture and balances the numerous women in his life. Contini is also, after recent box office failures, drifting towards a nervous breakdown, from which he is held back only by the support of his wife, Luisa. As his sanity disintegrates, he drifts into nostalgic reverie, eventually focusing on the formative sexual encounter of his life, which occurred at the age of nine.

Shortly after he moved on to be Director of Music for the B Benjamin Group tour department, where he got the opportunity to spin for such artist as JA Rule, Ashanti, Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, etc. The LA native built his reputation while touring by rocking the crowd and holding down the hottest after parties that followed. Popular Las Vegas hip-hop station Wild 102 FM, a Clear Channel Station, brought him aboard in mid 2002 alongside fellow DJ heavyweights OB-1, DJ Five and DJ Cyberkid. The air time furthered his reputation, which propelled him into the Las Vegas club scene. DJ D-Miles has since continued to leave his mark in Vegas doing all sorts of special events which include SEMA, Magic Conventions, Billboard Awards after parties, and NBA All-Star 2007. He is currently a resident DJ at Tao Nightclub in the Venetian, and LAVO Nightclub located in the Palazzo Hotel. D-Miles has also held down a residency with the Guess Clothing Corporation for the past 2 years, performing at all of their special events and fashion shows.
