Dirty South @ Sutra Lounge
Nov 26 @ 9:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Dirty South, aka Dragan Roganovic, the world-renowned DJ, two-time Grammy nominated producer and global festival headliner, has been on a journey to challenge every conventional mold around the electronic landscape. His prior album, ‘With You’, shattered the model of modern-day music with its genre-bending collaborations and resplendent imagery, and his new album (set for a 2017 release) will be no exception either.  Dirty South has collaborated with world-renowned producers, ranging from Alesso to Axwell who he shared the studio with in creating their Grammy nominated remix of Temper Trap’s ‘Sweet Disposition’. Dirty South’s productions have earned him several awards including two Grammy nominations and two ARIA (Australia) nominations. This year will see Dirty South dominate the international touring circuit following an endless roster of performances to date, including headlining gigs at Omnia Las Vegas, Avalon Hollywood, Tomorrowland, Storm Festival, Big Slap Festival, LIV Miami, Creamfields and more. This is his Orange County Stop for “The Drift Tour”!

Valley Queen @ The Wayfarer
Nov 30 @ 8:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Valley Queen front woman Natalie Carol leads a band reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac and My Morning Jacket with lead vocals evocative of Florence Welch. Their sound brings to mind the soul and power of southern rock combined with inspired and personal lyrics.Over the past year, Valley Queen has been recording tracks for their debut, full-length LP and have played lauded shows at an array of venues, opening for Lucero, LP, Laura Marling and The Wild Reeds, as well as headlining Pappy and Harriets in Joshua Tree, the Echo Park Rising Festival and Broke LA Festival in Los Angeles. Within the past year, they have also played a triumphant string of shows at the 2015 CMJ Music Marathon in NYC and SXSW in Austin. Theyve most recently played at Make Music Pasadena, Lightning in a Bottle in California and a Tiny Desk concert at the NPR offices in DC. Valley Queen headlined their first residency series at The Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles throughout July to raucous crowds for three consecutive weeks. In August of 2016, the band released the singles In My Place and High Expectations on Canvasback Music/Atlantic Records to wide acclaim. Pranav Trewn from Stereogum wrote that Valley Queen has never sounded better than they do on In My Place especially vocalist Natalie Carol, who wrestles with the wreckage of her faith and self-perception while anxiously considering her own youth floating on great expectations and choking on grand illusions. Bob Boilen from NPRs All Songs Considered praised that Valley Queen comes from the Neil Young school of great music. They are fronted by Natalie Carol, whose voice is simply amazing, and The Village Voice noted that Valley Queen has stayed true to their roots while embracing the psychedelia of California rock and making some damn good music along the wayanchored by Carols enthralling vocals. The band is currently on a national tour across the US throughout the rest of 2016.
