Walk Through the Grades @ Waldorf School of OC
Apr 1 @ 9:00 am – 9:00 am

EXPERIENCE WALDORF EDUCATION IN ACTION by taking a tour of classes in session. This unique opportunity to visit during the school day provides parents an insider’s look at what makes our classes, teachers and students unique. Teachers fire a passion for learning and students express genuine enthusiasm and collaboration. During each Guided Walk we will spend time in several classes from Grade 1 through Grade 12.  The tour will be followed by a Question and Answer Session with class teachers. PLEASE NOTE: We will depart right at 9am from our school store, the Company of Angels. Please allow yourself a few extra minutes to park. Arrive early and join us for a cup of something warm to drink, a tasty treat and some shopping time in our beautiful school boutique. THIS EVENT IS FOR ADULTS ONLY.  Thank you for your understanding. Reservations are required as our tours are limited in size. Waldorf Education addresses the child as no other education does. Learning, whether in chemistry, mathematics, history or geography, is imbued with life and so with joy, which is the only true basis for later study. The textures and colors of nature, the accomplishments and struggles of humankind fill the Waldorf students’ imaginations and the pages of their beautiful books. Education grows into a union with life that serves them for decades. By the time they reach us at the college and university level, these students are grounded broadly and deeply and have a remarkable enthusiasm for learning. Such students possess the eye of the discoverer, and the compassionate heart of the reformer which, when joined to a task, can change the planet – Arthur Zajonc, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Physics, Amherst College

SOS Wild & Crazy Taco Night @ Share Our Selves
Apr 2 @ 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Join us as we celebrate 50 years of SOS at Wild & Crazy Taco Night on April 2, 2020! This fun and festive evening showcases 25 of Orange County’s finest chefs and restaurants, who each prepare an unusual and one-of-a-kind taco. Don’t miss your chance to attend this foodie favorite and support your local community! All proceeds benefit the SOS Social Services, providing food, emergency financial relief, homeless support services, and more to our low-income and homeless neighbors.

See your favorite OC chefs at their most creative as they compete to craft the most unique tacos you’ll see all year. In 2019, the YELP People’s Choice Taco winner as chosen by attendees was Alessandro Pirozzi’s “Beauty and the Beast Taco,” which featured a red rose petal-infused tortilla, homemade bison sausage, fresh grass, spicy house-made salsa verde, and julienned yellow and pink parsley. All tacos are conceived exclusively for this event and can’t be found anywhere else! Tickets include all-you-can-eat tacos and beverages, including DesMaDre Tequila margaritas and beer from local favorite Salty Bear Brewing Co.

Don’t miss the pre-event VIP Party! Participating guests will enjoy early admission and have the opportunity to meet all of the chefs and sample their tacos before the general event begins. The VIP Party has sold out every year.
