The RapidRide J Line is a partnership between the City of Seattle and King County Metro to improve transit travel times, reliability, and capacity between Downtown Seattle and five neighborhoods (Belltown, South Lake Union, Eastlake, University District, and Roosevelt). Over the last 3 years, the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) have studied the project’s potential effects on the natural and built environments in the RapidRide Roosevelt Project (RapidRide J Line) Environmental Assessment (EA). The Environmental Assessment was developed in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Comment on the potential effects and proposed mitigation strategies in the Environmental Assessment and Section 4(f) (parks) resources by February 14, 2020, visit www.seattle.gov/Transportation/RapidRideJLine for more information and to sign up for project updates.
