The Samburu Project 2020 Walk for Water
The Samburu Project is a non-profit based in Los Angeles, California. As a grassroots 501(c)(3) organization, our mission is to provide access to clean, safe drinking water as a foundation for development. Each spring, The Samburu Project hosts a fundraising walk to help support this cause and spread awareness of the world water crisis.

This year’s 11th Annual Hermosa Beach Walk for Water will take place on March 15th. Walkers and runners will meet at American Junkie in Hermosa Beach. They will check in, receive t-shirts and runner’s bibs, create signs and hear some pre-walk inspiration. From there, walkers and runners head out along the California coast to complete a four-mile walking route or 5K running route! After participants are done, they will be greeted back at American Junkie with breakfast, music, raffles, goodie bags and more. Each participant is sponsored by friends and family to meet a personal fundraising goal of $100. This expands our network of water warriors beyond Southern California and around the world. Bring a friend, bring your dog, and walk, run, bike or skate as we come together this Earth Day to raise money for clean water!
