TINA LIVE: A Tribute to Tina Turner
February 6 – February 9, 2020

Cookie Watkins brings more than a celebrity impersonation to her performance. An international touring Tribute Artist, Cookie has entertained hundreds of thousands of Tina Turner fans around the world. Music has been Cookie’s mainstay since Duke Ellington brought her onstage to warble out a few tunes at the ripe age of fourteen. No stranger to Broadway, Cookie also performed in hit stage musicals like Guys & Dolls, Sweet Charity, and Hair before touring with the original cast of Beehive and Marie Wilson. There is no other Tina Turner impersonator on the planet that comes close. That’s why Cookie Watkins was hand selected by “Legends in Concert,” “The Next Best Thing” TV show and many other shows nationwide to be their Tina Turner Tribute Impersonator! She is Simply the Best! Cookie allows the audience to savor the saucy effects of Tina’s “Higher” before a seamless transition to the throaty “Better Be Good to Me” followed by “What’s Love Got To Do With It?”. But Cookie and her audience know nothing tops the high-energy stand-up hit and closer “Proud Mary,” and that is exactly what Cookie does Tina: “Proud!”

TINA LIVE will perform Thursday, February 6 & Friday, February 7 at 7:30pm; Saturday, February 8 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm and Sunday, February 9 at 1:00pm.

All performances will take place at Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.

The village tour is a delightfully casual cultural experience that you are sure to remember for days to come. It is perfect for local residents, tourists, first dates, corporate events, birthday/bridal parties, girls/guys day out, family outings and more! Where should I park?Parking can be challenging in Laguna Beach, mainly because most meters have a 3-hour limit. It is because of this that FOL does not recommend parking at a meter. We recommend parking in an all day lot. There are a couple in the vicinity, the closest one being on Laguna Canyon Rd (133) & Forest. This lot charges $10 during the summer and is 5 blocks from the start of the tour. There is another all-day lot for $10 a day at about 250 Broadway, next to Romeo Cucina. Lot prices are subject to change and often change with seasons. Use caution parking at other all day lots, as many of them have 3 hour limits. Adult – $65.00 Child 7-12 – $20.00 Child under 7 – $0.00
