Laguna Playhouse presents five fantastic ways for you to start the new year (and the new decade) in exceptional musical style! Five amazing musical experiences are coming your way that celebrate these iconic artists; Eagles, The Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, Tina Turner and The Rat Pack beginning Thursday, January 9, 2020 and continuing through Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.

ONE OF THESE NIGHTS – The Music of the Eagles
January 9 – 12, 2020

ONE OF THESE NIGHTS takes the audience on a journey through the Eagles’ extraordinary catalog. The show features the band’s greatest hits like “Hotel California,” “Desperado,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “Life In The Fast Lane,” “Take It Easy,” “Already Gone,” “One Of These Nights” and many others – all presented in a highly entertaining production with uncanny accuracy.
ONE OF THESE NIGHTS will perform Thursday, January 9 & Friday, January 10 at 7:30pm; Saturday, January 11 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm and Sunday, January 12 at 1:00pm.

Do you enjoy art, theater and being in the spotlight? Can you stand still for 90 seconds?  Perfect – you could be a volunteer cast member in the 2020 Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, California. The team behind the world’s most famous presentation of living pictures is looking for men, women and children of all sizes and ages to volunteer for next summer’s show, Made in America. Casting call will be held at the Pageant of the Masters amphitheater on the Festival of Arts grounds at 650 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, CA during the following dates and times:

Friday, January 10 from 7 – 9pm
Saturday, January 11 from 7 – 9pm
Sunday, January 12 from 2 – 5pm

Getting ready to head into the wilderness for the first time and not sure what you need to know or do to have a successful trip? Hone your skills during this outing while we will discuss the importance of proper planning equipment selection and other fundamental backcountry skills. This outing will include ample opportunity for demonstrations discussion skills practice and questions during a hike that will cover approximately 3 miles.

The Rooftop Lounge, known for their California casual fare, hand-muddled mojitos, and unparalleled coastal views over the Pacific, has partnered with iHeartYoga in Laguna Beach on Saturday, January 11, to bring a morning of rooftop yoga and custom cocktails as you take in the ocean breeze! The yoga class will be held from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., followed by speciality cocktails until 12 p.m — 1 complimentary cocktail is included with each ticket! The early bird rate is $20 and $25 at the door. See you there!

Enjoy Flavors of Laguna, where you can join us on a Food Tasting & Historical Tour in beautiful Laguna Beach, CA. We capture culinary delights mixed with an intricate cultural experience and we bring it to you in a 3 to 3 1/2 hour walking tour (Tour time varies). You will experience tastes that are unique to “The Village” in Laguna Beach and that represent the “True Laguna” experience. The village tour is a delightfully casual cultural experience that you are sure to remember for days to come. A Food Tasting & Historical Tour in Laguna Beach is a great event for family, friends, visitors, traveling, and looking for the perfect place for that special occasion. It is perfect for local residents, tourists, first dates, corporate events, birthday/bridal parties, girls/guys day out, family outings and more! Where should I park?Parking can be challenging in Laguna Beach, mainly because most meters have a 3-hour limit. It is because of this that FOL does not recommend parking at a meter. We recommend parking in an all day lot. There are a couple in the vicinity, the closest one being on Laguna Canyon Rd (133) & Forest. This lot charges $10 during the summer and is 5 blocks from the start of the tour. There is another all-day lot for $10 a day at about 250 Broadway, next to Romeo Cucina. Lot prices are subject to change and often change with seasons. Use caution parking at other all day lots, as many of them have 3 hour limits. Adult – $65.00 Child 7-12 – $20.00 Child under 7 – $0.00

The CAP Gallery is hosting a demonstration/workshop January 11, 2020 with artists Lesli Bonanni, Gil Dellinger and Marie Tippets. Come enjoy the Art of pastels. Artists will be on hand to talk about and demonstrate how they paint with pastels. Attendees will also have a chance to experience painting with pastels!

This is the second time this event is being offered, due to the enthusiasm of attendees from the first event. It is FREE to the public.

While at the event, visitors and enjoy seeing pastel works in the current exhibit “Illuminating Elements” at The CAP Gallery. Works by Mary Aslin, Lesli Bonanni, Gill Dellinger Mike Ishikawa, Margaret Lindsey, Elizabeth Wallace and Marie Tippets are currently on view.

CAP’s mission is to increase the visibility and appreciation of Art and serve as a catalyst for Art Education. Ongoing exhibitions can be enjoyed at The CAP Gallery, in the unique Rotunda Gallery space located on the second floor of the Wells Fargo Building, 260 Ocean Avenue. One of These Nights: The Ultimate Eagles Tribute Band Tributes to the Eagles are held to a higher standard — you can’t just slap on a wig and call it a day. You’ve gotta be able to master the band’s many phases, a catalog that famously includes blues, country, rock and pop songs. In the face of such a tall order, One of these Nights succeeds on every count with their stunning re-creations of the band’s greatest hits.
