Are y’all ready? You better get ready. Because Sarah Potenza is not messing around. Her latest release, Road to Rome, shines new light on a songwriter whose career already includes multiple albums as front-woman of Sarah and the Tall Boys, a game-changing appearance on The Voice, and an acclaimed solo debut titled Monster. Rolling Stone gushed, “Potenza is to the blues what Adele is to pop: a colossal-voiced singer who merges her old-school influences with a modernistic sound.”  And just who is Sarah Potenza? She’s a songwriter. A bold, brassy singer. A businesswoman. A proud, loud-mouthed Italian-American from Providence, Rhode Island, with roots in Nashville and an audience that stretches across the Atlantic. Road to Rome is the story of all artists – particularly women, who remain the minority within the male-dominated music industry – who’ve learned to trust their instincts, refusing to let mainstream trends dilute their own artistic statements. She is a songwriter taking the wheel and driving toward her own destination, and you want to be there for the journey.   This show is sponsored by Folk All Y’all patrons and presented in collaboration with Crosstown Arts. About The Green Room: Operated by Crosstown Arts, The Green Room is committed to providing the best possible environment for the two most important components of a musical performance: the artists’ work and the audience’s listening experience. About Folk All Y’all: Our mission is to present world-class singer-songwriters in an intimate, attentive environment. We are entirely volunteer-run and 100% of ticket sales go directly to the artists. Our guests and artists are here to connect in person and we encourage a fully screen-free experience.
