On July 19, 2019 A group of high school students from Rolling Robots Robotics Team will be on BattleBots Episode 7!

We are so proud of all the members of Rolling Robots BattleBots Team. The team members are raising senior Steven Davis, Anderson Sutandinata, Trevor Heise, and Michael Huang, and raising Freshman Sean Stassi. Dr. George Kirkman is the team mentor. They spent countless hours designing, prototyping, programming and testing of the robot. Their determination and hardwork made the impossible task possible!

Looking back, everyone on the team has been involved in many years of robotics. For example, Anderson and Steven were on the 2015 VEX Robotics World Championship Excellence Award Winning team. They are also involved in the FIRST robotics team in their high schools. Even with so much experience in robotics, building BattleBots introduces a whole new set of challenges. As a team, everyone learned a great deal by participating this impossible mission.

For all kids and parents who are interested in BattleBots, it’s good to start to learn robot making as early as 4 years old. At Rolling Robots, we have Bots for Tots workshops to get 4 to 6 years old involved in robotics in a very fun way. It’s a flexible program to teach kids the basics of robotics. Moving up, 5 to 7 years old will learn more about electronics in Fun with Tech workshops. When the 7 to 8 years old gets more serious about the robot building, they can get involved in Mech-Bots (Robotics for Kids) workshops where they will build real robots before they learn more about robot coding in Bots for Brain workshops. We will invite all the tech genius who has a passion for robotics to join our award winning competition teams.

We are also proud to say that we have invented the very original robot building and robot battling birthday party. Consider bringing your child to a Rolling Robots’ birthday party this year!

With technology being part of our daily life, it is crucial to get our children involved in robotics and technology when they are young. We are here to serve. You can sign up our email list at rollingrobots.com to get more information or stop by one of our three locations (Palos Verdes, Glendale and West LA) to check it out for yourself.
