Peninsula Shopping Center will host a fun family-friendly Easter Celebration on Sunday, April 5th, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the drive aisle near La Salsa. The Easter Bunny will be available to visit and take selfies with children, so families are encouraged to bring their cameras. There will also be kids crafts, body glitter art, a live DJ, and balloon twisters. This event is FREE and open to the public. During the event, guests will also receive special coupons and be invited to participate in store giveaways.
The Southern California Optimism Walk for the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) will be held Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 9:00 AM at the South Coast Botanic Garden.

The Seventh Annual Champions for Children 5K TRAIL Run/Walk is presented by South Bay Children’s Health Center (SBCHC), a nonprofit organization and will take place at Ernie Howlett Park on Saturday, June 20, 2020. The event will raise money for our South Bay Youth Project and our Dental Program, providing quality mental health and dental services for low-income, underserved or otherwise at-risk children, teens and young adults throughout the South Bay. Expected attendance is 600 and participants can join either the 5K TRAIL Walk or 5K TRAIL Run on the beautiful course on the city equestrian and hiking trails. Participants can register individually or gather a team together. The day is filled with family activities for children of all ages, vendor booths, a Kids Fun Run and a wonderful, healthy team spirit.Past event participants love the challenge and beauty of the trail, the opportunity to participate as a walker or runner with separate start times (Run starts at 8:00 AM; Walk starts at 9:00 AM), our family-friendly EXPO and the fabulous Finisher Medals! Top finisher awards are also provided! Parking is free and available on-site. The run and the walk is timed by Pacific Coast Timing Company.
