White Seabass Pen Cleaning @ San Diego Bay Pens N. Harbor Drive & Hawthorn Street San Diego CA 92101
Jun 1 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Volunteer divers and snorkelers needed to help clean our white seabass pens! When:Saturday, June 1, 2013Time: 8:00 am – 10:00 amAre you a certified diver or snorkeler wanting to try something new, but don’t mind getting dirty? As time goes on, our white seabass pens become COVERED with a variety of marine life that has found the perfect place to settle and take up residency. Problem is, this blocks out the very vital water and oxygen circulation necessary for the health of our little fish! In order to keep our babies strong and ready for release into the wild, we need to perform regular maintenance on their containment nets…and that’s where you come in! Just one morning a month, ‘Pen Pals’ scrub our mesh nets in shallow waters, so the fish can breathe easy once again.Email us at whiteseabass@sdof.org to get involved. RSVP is required to attend!
