POWERED BY BREAKFAST POP UP PLAYGROUND @ Postal code 90401, US
Mar 10 all-day

No Kid Hungry, a national campaign dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America, will be hosting a Powered by Breakfast Pop Up Playground event on Tuesday, March 10, from 11am – 2pm at the Santa Monica Pier to raise awareness of the importance of school breakfast for kids. This experiential pop-up will be open to the public and take Angelenos through an interactive journey of how breakfast fuels a kid’s future. As families enter the pop-up playground they will find a merry-go-round that directs them to one of five color-coded activities. These activities range from an oversized cereal bowl where students can jump in and dig into breakfast, to an interactive magnetic wall encouraging kids to dream big. These were designed to evoke aspirational feelings of what is possible for kids when they have access to breakfast every day. Attendees will then have a chance to join No Kid Hungry in standing up for kids by signing an Open Letter to America’s children. Los Angeles’ own chef Valerie Gordon will be in attendance to chat about breakfast and demo a recipe. There will be a photo booth, dance station, swag, as well as product giveaways on-site. Mar 13 @ 8:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Doors 8pmShowtime 9pm$10GospelBeacH “Let It Burn” is GospelbeacH’s exquisite follow up to “Another Summer Of Love” and the third proper studio album by the infamous Los Angeles rock combo. The band’s prestigious collective resume includes members of Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Beachwood Sparks, Circles Around The Sun, The Tyde, and Hard Working Americans. The album features cosmic solos by the beloved, late Neal Casal (RIP).  Pacific Range Pacific Range is rooted in the beautiful, sunshiny-coast of California. The band’s style takes from many influences ranging from The Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead, to The Band and The Flying Burrito Brothers. Seamus Turner (guitar & vocals) and Nate Ward (drums) met around 2013 while studying music at Chico State. After jamming together and discovering a strong musical connection they formed the band Dakota Cree. Being music students, they utilized the university’s recording studio to record an EP. Soon they began performing for different school events and playing local clubs around town. The group went through several incarnations, graduations, and moves and eventually landed in Los Angeles. They are now performing as a four-piece with bassist Cameron Wehrle and keyboardist & guitarist Stewart Forgey. Cameron joined the group after seeing one of Pacific Range’s live performances and bonding over a love for The Allman Brothers. He then brought along Stewart, a high school friend of Cameron’s, and ex-band-mate from the group Echophonics. Stew performs session work and runs his own own studio at The Dock in Glendale.Pacific Range has been hard at work performing around LA, touring and prepping their new release slate for early 2020. Some of the places you may have seen them include Topanga Days Music Festival, Pappy & Harriet’s, The Echo, and Casa Escobar. Take a listen to their self-titled album, which was recorded almost entirely live and showcases their improvisational style. Thanks for listening.  Farmer Dave & the Wizards of the WestLove Music from the West Coast with Farmer Dave Scher, Ben Knight, Brian Bartus, and Alex Koford
