The Santa Monica History Museum will host a Shirley Temple birthday tea party and one-day exhibition on Saturday, April 18th, from 12:00pm to 2:30pm, at the Santa Monica History Museum, located at 1350 7th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401. The Tea Party and one-day exhibition honors Shirley Temple’s Storybook television series. The series was a children’s anthology hosted and narrated by actress Shirley Temple and featured adaptations of popular fairytales. A delicious traditional tea service, sponsored by Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows, will be served while special guests Beverly Washburn, Angela Cartwright and Ann Jillian share their experiences working with Shirley Temple. Tickets for the tea and exhibition are $45 and will benefit the museum. To reserve a seat please RSVP by April 16 to rsvp@santamonicahistory.org as space is limited. Visitors may also visit the museum to see the exhibition and galleries from 10 AM to 5 PM, for the usual admission price, without admission to the tea. The museum is open to the public Tuesday and Thursday noon to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The museum is closed Sundays and Mondays. General admission is $10 for adults (or $15 for two) and $5 for seniors & students. Veterans, active-duty military, children 12 and under, and Santa Monica History Museum members receive free admission.
