Henry Edwards Huntington was a collector of art and rare books. He owned the Pacific Electric Railway and settle in Los Angeles when he came to California from New York state. But, most importantly, Huntington has a thriving California city named after him. Located on seaside in Orange County in the Southern part of California is the city of Huntington Beach! Affectionately known by residents as “HB,” there is no excuse for a dull moment to occur in this beautiful beach dominated area. A dog beach, downtown entertainment, the International Surfing Museum, sightseeing tours, the Old World Village, stand-up paddle boarding, spas, surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing are just a few of the unlimited amount of activities to do and places to go in Huntington Beach!

Unbelted (Gyldenholt)Facebook event page.The Barony of Gyldenholt invites the populace to bear witness to the prowess, skills, and valour of the unbelted fighters of the Kingdom of CAID. The annual Gyldenholt Unbelted Tourney will be held at the Cedar Grove Park, 11385 Pioneer Rd, Tustin, CA 92782 on Saturday, January, 28th, 2017The combat shall be single elimination, except that a second ransom may be gained by demonstration of a recent Art or Science effort. Entries will be on display for the populace to admire in a static exhibit. Fighters with an arts entry will be given a token to be redeemed at the list table for a second life. If you have any questions, please contact the Event Steward. Additionally, the skills of our valiant competitors will be rewarded in a second (optional) challenge. A special prize will be awarded to the Most Well-Rounded Fighter of the day. Entrants are encouraged to sign up at gate and enter all of our contests throughout the day (designed to not interfere with the fighting tourney). The theme of the day is Heraldry: It Works! All participants are encouraged to bring out banners, standards, list shields, etc. for a glorious display of Heraldic Arts.The Rapier Community will be hosting a Donation breakfast table.Event Registration is $10.00, $5.00 for SCA members. You and your entire office staff are invited to join us for a special CE event where you will learn how to manage the first crucial minutes of a medical emergency in your office. This is a dry site. Please plan to take your trash/recycling with you as this is required in our site contract.The theme of the day will be “Living History.” In addition to the fighting there will be a village of artisans and other talented folk who are good enough to share their interests and knowledge with the populace. This is your chance to immerse yourself a little more deeply into the dream – and maybe pick up a new interest along the way! If you would like to setup a spot in our village, please contact the event steward to reserve space and for further information. There will, of course, be the regular tournament, with all the appropriate fighting styles represented. Additionally,anyone who wants to fight for a good cause, the Hospitallers will also be thereto host a charity tournament to raise funds for St. Jude’s Hospital. To those who fight – fight with honor; fight to support St. Jude’s in this noble cause.
