Local Movement Creates Awareness of Local Small Businesses in DTLA
When shopkeepers get together and organize a 50-plus store sale you have to assume that they’re going to offer the best possible sale prices that they can. Well on August 3rd, 2014 from noon to 7 PM it’s on, thanks to ShopWalk DTLA.
Launched in 2010 with just 10 local shops, ShopWalk DTLA, now boasts over 50 local shops each hosting special activities that include in-store events, sales, special menus, all day happy hours at some, and exclusive discounts to all “Shopwalkers”. In 2014 a number of new participants came on board including Wexler’s Deli & Belcampo Meat Co. at the Grand Central Market, Tanner Goods, The Gorbals restaurant, Buttons & Bows and The Standard Hotel.
There are even a number of recent additions to the neighborhood including are Austere, which just opened in early May and just opened a brand new barber shop in their store called Roy & Son, and Beelman’s Pub (opened in June) and the Ace Hotel.
ShopWalk DTLA is a quarterly event to shop-eat-play locally in DTLA. Sales, discounts & in-store events will be happening at businesses all over the Historic Core.
The latest event is being held Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 12pm to 7pm. The event is brought to you by the HCBID and the Historic Core. [themify_box style=”gray rounded ” ]
