Event Description: Founded in 2015, the West Edge Neighborhood Association (WENA) serves residents and businesses in Downtown Seattle’s West Edge neighborhood.
The West Edge runs from Columbia Street to Union Street, and from the Second Avenue corridor down to Alaskan Way. The West Edge is home to some of Seattle’s most significant landmarks, including the Pike Place Market, Seattle Art Museum and Benaroya Hall. Our neighborhood includes over 4,000 residents; 250 retailers; 170 restaurants; and the workplaces of over 26,000 people.

Event Description: The Ballard Avenue Landmark District was created by the Seattle City
Council in 1976. Buildings throughout the District embody the
distinctive characteristics of modest commercial architecture from the
1890s through the 1940s, creating a sense that the street is almost
suspended in time. Visitors to this unique neighborhood will find
boutiques, artists studios, and galleries side by side with
manufacturers of fishing equipment and even a television studio.

Event Description: The Columbia City Application Review Committee and the City of Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board are charged with maintaining the historic character of Columbia City, ensuring that the architectural integrity and aesthetics of the buildings and landscape are preserved. The Review Committee consists of five members, two that are appointed by the Chair of the Landmarks Preservation Board and three that are appointed by the Chair of the Columbia City Business Association. The Review Committee is responsible for making recommendations to the Board. The Board is responsible for the final review and approval of applications for Certificates of Approval for any change to the exterior appearance of buildings or structures, streets, sidewalks, and other public spaces in the District.
