Del Amo Fashion Center to Host Job Fair August 20 @ Del Amo Fashion Center
Aug 20 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Del Amo Fashion Center to Host Job Fair August 20 @ Del Amo Fashion Center | Torrance | California | United States

Job seekers interested in retail and restaurant work will have an opportunity to become a part of Del Amo Fashion Center’s style evolution, as numerous retailers at the center seek to fill positions ahead of Nordstrom’s October 9 opening date. The job fair will be held on Thursday, August 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach, located at 3635 Fashion Way, Torrance, CA 90503.

Attendees will have an opportunity to talk with hiring managers about available opportunities, submit resumes, and fill out applications while onsite. Many retailers will be conducting interviews on the spot, so applicants are encouraged to dress for success.

Positions include store managers, assistant managers, key holders, sales associates, stockroom workers, and more. Hundreds of full-time, part-time and seasonal positions are available and workers are needed immediately.

In addition to Nordstrom and Macy’s, participating employers include American Eagle, Arhaus Furniture, Banana Republic, Brow Arc, Fossil, GUESS/Marciano, H&M, Lane Bryant, Popbar, Uniqlo, Varga and Zales, among others.

Interested applicants are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume, be ready for interviews and have a positive attitude.

The event is free and open to the public, and pre-event registration is not required. An information table near the hotel’s lobby will help direct attendees on where to go once they arrive.

Job applicants can park free of charge at Del Amo Fashion Center in the AMC parking structure and walk across the street to the Marriott via Fashion Way. Attendees also have the option to park at the Marriott for a fee.

“We love to support our local community, so job creation through Del Amo Fashion Center’s transformation is important to us,” said Lindsay Hermance, director of marketing and business development at Del Amo Fashion Center. “Our job fair offers people with a variety of skills and experience a chance to seek positions at all different levels.”

As a result of the ongoing transformation of South Bay’s premier retail destination, Del Amo Fashion Center is expected to add about 100 brands, beginning with the opening of the 140,000-square-foot Nordstrom in October, accompanied by the progressive opening of a new, state-of-the-art two-level fashion wing, which will include a two-level, 25,000 square-foot Zara, a two-level, 25,000 square-foot H&M, a 10,200 square-foot Uniqlo, and a 15,000 square-foot flagship Victoria’s Secret that is slated to be twice the size of the retailer’s typical space.

A restaurant row north of Carson Street is also taking shape at the center, with Great Maple, FRIDA, and Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que as the first of five eateries set to join the center.

Del Amo Fashion Center’s evolving style also includes the construction of a nearly 2,000-car parking structure along Fashion Way, between the Marriott Hotel and Del Amo’s newer Outdoor Village.
