MARIE CHAIN & FRIENDS @ Harvelle's Santa Monica
Mar 24 @ 5:30 pm – 5:30 pm

MARIE CHAINSoul Blues Pop Singer Songwriter Special guest: Chawa Lilith Marie Chain, a singer/songwriter and pianist based in Berlin. She´s coming to LA for the first time and will be appearing at Musexpo 2020.  At Harvelles she’ll be presenting a mixture of her own material as well as expressive reinterpretations of some of her favourite classics in the keys of soul, blues, pop and jazz. Marie Chain blends old and new as she catapults vintage soul and blues into the 21st century.  As well as entertaining audiences, she provides them with food for thought by highlighting social issues in her music such as equal rights. Championing independent, courageous women around the world, Marie Chain has always done it ‘her way’, writing her own lyrics and music, and taking care of booking and management herself, all with a healthy thirst for adventure! Marie Chain was born in Leipzig, Germany (the city of Johann Sebastian Bach) and began playing the piano when she was five. She later spent a few years in Barcelona playing on the streets and in bars. After roaming the world in search of new musical influences, which included spells in New York and London, she finally found a new home for herself in Berlin in 2011. Marie Chain has released two records and played solo or with her band at renowned festivals such as Altacústic (Spain) and the Bamberg Jazz & Blues Festival (Germany) as well as club gigs at for instance Maschinenhaus (culture brewery) in Berlin, city hall in Montreux, and the Harlem Jazz Club in Barcelona continued in 2019 with appearances at the Åmål Blues Fest and Live At Heart in Sweden, the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, and the APAP in New York.  If you love soulful, emotional and handmade music, don’t miss Marie Chain in Los Angeles!www.mariechain.com__ Chawa Lilith is a LA based singer songwriter and producer from Berlin Germany.
