CoderDojo South Bay teaches kids 8-17 to code in the beautiful South Bay of Los Angeles. Our next event will take place at the beautiful new Manhattan Beach Public Library on Highland Avenue on Saturday, Novermber 19th, from 2pm – 3.45pm.  Parents must accompany kids if they are 13 or under, and your child needs to bring a fully charged laptop, if possible. We may have a few extra laptops, though, but only if you email us directly to coordinate ahead of time.   We will be hosting a session for just Beginner level this month due to our being a bit short-handed in staffing.  Kids will learn how to use Scratch, code their own web pages, basic programming and more!   Remember, CoderDojos have just one rule: “Above All: Be Cool” – our goals are to have fun, learn and share with each other. Join our celebration for completing ten Community Interactive Forums this year! Meet 2016 presenters, neighbors, and program hosts, and give input for the 2017 Forum Series. The 1st ever MC Water Polo Turkey Tourney will be held this Thanksgiving morning. Showtime: 7:30am Gametime: 8:00am What better way to work up an appetite than to play some water polo? This event is a fundraiser for the Alumni Scholarship. So, if you can’t make it, please donate whatever you can. Thanks!

Instructor Jesus  Mejia will have children excited about movement, fitness, and participation through fun activities at the library. Drop in for this fun event. Recommended for Preschool – 2nd grade. 

Join us for a Storytime featuring the Moana and the Ocean picture book based on the upcoming Disney Animation Studios’ film Moana. In this engaging picture book Moana’s unique relationship with the ocean is playfully interacted with stylized artwork.

Join us for Toddler Storytime!  This storytime is geared to 18 month to 3 year olds and their parents/caregivers. Come enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, movement, and more! In the best interest of the enjoyment of the children and families at our storytimes and equal opportunity to attend, the series will have a limited attendance and families will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.  On Tuesday mornings tickets will be distributed outside the library beginning at 10 AM.For more information please contact the children’s librarians.Ages 18 months to 3 years.

Join us for Baby Storytime!  The lapsit storytime is designed for babies up to 18 months, and their parent or caregiver. Come enjoy bonding time for baby and you through stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, bounce and movement activities, and lots of fun! In the best interest of the enjoyment of the baby, parents and caregivers at our storytimes and equal opportunity to attend, the series will have a limited attendance and families will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.  On Wednesday mornings tickets will be distributed outside the library beginning at 10 AM.Adult caregiver participation is required.For babies 0-18 months.
