Othello is a revered General and war hero who has won the love of Desdemona. But when he chooses Cassio rather than Iago for a promotion, jealousy and hatred begin to poison established and treasured relationships. Considered one of Shakespeare’s four great tragedies, Othello is as unflinching in its power as it is in its heartbreak.
