Come listen to Redondo Beach City Treasurer, Steve Diels, as he talks about the importance of getting involved in local matters affecting the future of the community and the economic stability of Redondo Beach. “Involvement matters,” states Steve Diels, “Good work does get done – as in my Treasurer Reforms and Measure G, the Waterfront Revitalization and now AES’ offer to remove the plant. But elected representatives need the continued support of the electorate. My reforms are case and point. It was suggested that I couldn’t do what I promised to do because I can’t reform my office without a vote of the people. But I have. Good things are often hard to do. Good things take time and persistence.”
