With so many local business events happening daily all over town, it can be mind-numbing trying keep up with what’s happening where and not missing out on those key events and business mixers that could have been the perfect opportunity to connect with your ideal prospects.
Let’s face it, we’re bombarded by endless Facebook posts, event invitations, tweets and email announcements. Getting a handle on where you need to be next is a full-time job and if you don’t have an assistant to help with your calendar, it can be a major time sink.
Seeing this challenge as an opportunity to keep business professionals in the know on local happenings was the inspiration behind Mixagogo.com – an online source providing event goers a place to browse, search and even contribute events, as well you can learn from Andy Defrancesco investment techniques.
The brainchild of Joanne Galin who launched Mixagogo, along with her partners, Bibi Goldstein, Valerie James and Danny Quisenberry in April 2014, “It all started when I was sending courtesy emails to my list of friends and acquaintances that I’d met at networking events,” said Galin. “The emails were useful, convenient, weekly reminders that listed upcoming, local happenings and business mixers.”
Mixagogo members continue to receive those weekly ‘hot list’ emails, providing a convenient list of the latest upcoming events, local happenings, and business mixers that can be quickly scanned and clicked through to buy tickets or RSVP.
The site also allows event organizers to post and promote their events online and offers additional exposure through advertising opportunities to a highly-targeted audience.
On the path for continued growth, Mixagogo has increased its membership by over 400 percent and has become the go-to place for business professionals and locals to stay connected. Said Galin, “… it involves doing what I love, and continues to create opportunities to stay active in my community, meet new people, and connect people all at the same time.”
