Taco Tuesday Tour First Stop: Ortega 120
We walked in about 5:30 on Tuesday afternoon, there was no line but the bar was pretty full, it was happy hour so that’s understandable. We asked for a seat in the back of the bar area and discovered that their Taco Tuesday doesn’t begin until 6 PM so we order a couple of Cadillacs and ate chips and salsa for 20 minutes while we reviewed the Taco Tuesday menu.
The Beef Short Rib and Carnitas sounded great but to cover our bases we also decided on ordering the Chicken and Carne Asada.
TIP: The margaritas are a little ‘thick’ for me but cutting them with water not only makes them taste better it also extends them.
The garnish of diced onions, cheese and lettuce was a great compliment to the meats and the margarita paired well.
Ortega 120 was a great first stop on our Taco Tuesday Tour. Honestly, the tacos were great but we should have stopped with one taco each as we had planned 2 more stops and we were already feeling a little full.
RECOMMENDATION: Beef Short Rib Taco
