On Purpose Productions! presents Theater Arts for After School Discover new forms of self-expression, explore growth edges, build confidence, enhance listening and engaging skills, strengthen emotional connections, support the collective and further develop autonomy in this 11-week production class. The class will culminate in a professionally directed production for friends and family. In this 2-hour class: the first 30 minutes will be dedicated to warm-ups & skill building, followed by 80 minutes of rehearsal time (story & character analysis) and 10 minutes cool-down/community building. Autumn Fawn, who has been working with children as a theatre professional and coach for over 15 years, is the the Program Director/Instructor. The workshop meets every Thursday from 3pm to 5pm at TKG. In addition to the program fee of $325 there is a $100 performance fee (for venue rental, costumes, technical support). The fee can be waived if parents are actively involved behind the scenes. Sibling enrollment will be discounted 20% for a $260 enrollment fee. Getting an early start on the season, Bluewater Grill will serve a signature, sustainably harvested version of Holiday Baked Stuffed Maine Lobster in November and December. To encourage Bluewater Grill customers to vote on Nov. 8, the Second Tuesday Tasting celebration for November is being moved back to Nov. 15 for this month only.
Stuffed Maine Lobster is a classic family feast that originated in Boston-area seafood restaurants and has since become a cherished New England holiday tradition.
The festivities kick-off with a Nov. 15 tasting event at all participating restaurants featuring a whole Maine lobster stuffed with a special shrimp and buttery panko-crumb stuffing and served with choice of New England or Manhattan Clam Chowder, two sides, unlimited fresh sourdough bread and a Bluewater bib for just $34.95. Paired with the feast will be two hand-picked Sauvignon Blancs, Oyster Bay from New Zealand, and a St. Supery from Napa Valley.
The South Bay Quilters Guild welcomes Lujean Seagal as guest speaker on Tuesday, November 15th at 7:00 PM at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 301 Avenue D, Redondo Beach, 90277. In her presentation, “Beyond Boring Borders”, Lujean will share simple techniques that quilters of all abilities can employ to make an ordinary quilt extraordinary. She will show examples of 30 quilts using different border techniques.
