South Bay Greek Festival @ St. Katherine Orthodox Church

Saint Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church will be hosting it’s 51st year of the South Bay Greek Festival bringing a sense of Greece and the Greek Islands to Redondo Beach! Come and enjoy home-made pastries, Gyro sandwiches calamari, paidakia (seasoned mini lamb chops), chicken and pork souvlakia (skewers), pastichio and much more, all prepared and served by our parishioners and friends of St. Katherine’s. Dance to live Greek music performed by the Olympians Greek Band. Games and bouncers are available in the Kid’s Area. Enter the church and hear the sounds of Byzantine Music performed by our church musicians as well as hearing about some of the history of the Orthodox Church and her iconography. Outside the church in the Iconography booth, watch as Fr. Michael Courey explains and “writes” an icon and see the ancient art of mosaics. Hear and watch programs about the Hellenic Culture and take virtual tours of Greece in the Hellenic Culture room. Enjoy it all at the South Bay Greek Festival! www.sbgreekfestival.com
