REDONDO BEACH MOVES TO SHUT DOWN ALL VACATION RENTALS . . . On Wednesday, March 2nd, the Redondo Beach City Council voted to keep vacation rentals outlawed and to step up enforcement. I’m organizing a networking event so Redondo Beach hosts can discuss how to work with the city council. Fair and smart regulation (instead of an all-out shut down) is possible, but we must organize. It is important that our voices are heard before further legislation is written. We have to be involved in the process. EVENT DETAILS Date: Wednesday, March 30th from 6:00PM – 8:00PM Provided: Appetizers *Please RSVP by signing up for a free ticket on this site. Location: R10 Social House, 179 North Harbor Drive, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Anyone with a stake in the future of vacation rentals in Redondo Beach is encouraged to attend. According to www.AirDna.co, there are 88 active ‘entire home’ listings on Airbnb and 88 active ‘private room’ listings on Airbnb. We need all 176 of us to be involved. NOTE: We also welcome vacation rental hosts from other cities that wish to support our efforts in Redondo Beach. WHY ATTEND? If you’re worried about your Redondo Beach vacation rental being shut down, this event is critical. FEATURED SPEAKER: Robert StGenis, Director of the Los Angeles Short Term Rental Alliance, is going to give a quick overview of what regulations are being enacted in other cities and how we can best work with the city council in Redondo Beach. He will also be available to answer your questions. Robert is an expert on this topic and a wealth of information that I look forward to sharing with everyone in attendance. WHY AM I HOSTING THIS EVENT? I am a Redondo Beach host. This is as important for me as it is for you. It is critical that our voices are heard by the city council. Our individual success as vacation rental operators in Redondo Beach depends on the strength of our collective voice. QUESTIONS? Please feel free to call me, Lauren, at (310)488-6825. PARKING Use the red-higlighted route to get to parking. CAN’T MAKE THE EVENT? Please sign up for a ‘Not Able to Attend’ ticket so we can let you know the next time the city is meeting to discuss vacation rentals. I’m a host myself, so I will of course keep all your information private and won’t be spamming you or anything. This event is produced in partnership with the Los Angeles Short Term Rental Alliance (LASTRA)
For three hours Melissa will perform cover songs as well as music from her new CD, “Easy Way Out.”
