Taco Tuesday Tour Third Stop: Coyote Cantina
Okay, three stops may be pushing it a bit. Perhaps, if we took more time at each location, or only had 1 taco at each, we’d be feeling a bit less full now. But, we’ve got to push on–Hello Coyote Cantina!
I’ve been coming here on and off for 15 years or so. It’s changed owners during that time but the food has remained consistent and of good quality. Their Tequila selection is excellent and their nachos are pretty darn good (add the Carnitas to the nachos to take them over-the-top).
It can get pretty busy on the weekends, but, tuesday–not so much. In fact none of the restaurants we visited were overly busy on Tuesday night–makes a great reason to put dining out on Tuesdays on your weekly schedule.

So, we were seated in a both and got our chips and salsa…I almost declined the chips knowing that I shouldn’t eat them so that I could save at least a little room for the taco. But I said nothing. Ashley came over and asked for a drink order, of course I said two silver lightnings, rocks, salt. I then immediately asked for a recommendation for the best two tacos at Coyote Cantina.
TIP: Asked for a side of Creamy Guacamole to lather on top of the tacos!
She left, brought the drinks and then within a minute or two returned with two soft corn tacos, one carnitas and one chicken. Honestly they looked a little on the small side, after Riviera Grill’s huge tacos, but they are very tasty and for a buck, so worth it.
RECOMMENDATION: Carnitas Taco w/Creamy Guacamole sauce.
In all we each had 3 Margaritas, 4 Tacos and a pretty good time. Of course, when you plan to attend the Taco Tuesday Tour designate a sober driver or use a taxi, Uber or some other mode of transport.
